The Robert J Russell Shows originally started out as a dream of mine of always wanting to have my own Radio Show when I was a kid. This idea has created a Forum where I interview people from different occupations and backgrounds and talk about issues that are real and straight forward. The Robert J Russell Show originally started with discussions about Real Estate. Then as I really looked at what I was trying to accomplish I decided to change my format. My format is now about human interest stories, motivation and success stories from people who have overcome their past and how they are helping other people from their experiences.

It was not until one night that I became totally powerless over my body and came face to face with the devil and death that I found out what I was really dealing with."

the only African-American chaplain at one of the top pediatric
hospitals in the U.S. (Children's here in Dallas, TX). She also says "

Mindy Starr - talks about being Sexually Abused as a child.

Lynne Kaska - diagnosed with MS in April of 2005 weighing in at 400 lbs.

Jennifer Cobb talks about her struggles with Alcohol since the age of 14
Jennifer Cobb is a 26 year old wife, mother, nursing student, and recovering alcoholic. Jennifer started drinking when she was fourteen years old. She continued to drink for the next twelve years blindly, not realizing that the choices she was making then would ultimately affect her future. In that time frame Mrs. Cobb received DUI's, an assault and battery charge, and a few public intoxication, all by the age of 24. Michael McTheny talks about life living in a wheel chair and being an overcomer
Challenges living in a wheel chair have had a lot to do with Michael's own self-image and perception. This is what Michael says about his life " Growing up I was treated like my brother and sisters but I was also pushed hard by my mother. She taught me to be strong and self-sufficient. I had a lot of surgeries growing up. I had 33 operations from the ages of 4 to 17. My life was very structured. After I left home, as a young adult, professionally I had a career and personally I had a lot of friends, but I was miserable inside. I felt like I had to be better than the next guy. Privately I hated the chair. I didn’t want people to see it . Frankly, neither did I. I felt like I was never good enough. I didn’t want to be a burden to anyone, but I felt like it."

Misti McNeeley talks about how she overcame a 8 year abusive marriage.
Misti had a normal childhood with good friends and great parents. While in college she met a man who promised her the world. She married this man only to find out everything had been a lie. This led to an 8 year marriage filled with misery and abuse. All of this was kept hidden from those that loved her and could have helped her because of pride and shame. The day that she was beat with a shovel in front of her 3 sons was the day that she finally left. Since that day she has become a strong, determined woman who makes herself and her story available to help other victims of abuse.

This week I will be talking with James Alderson & John Allen with Property Management Services.
James Alderson: James began his real estate Career in 2001 selling new homes for a builder in San Antonio. He became a licensed agent in 2005 and a broker in 2008. Real Estate was good to him and his family in 2006 and when the market dropped in 2007 he moved his focus to Property Management. James became good friends with John Allen and Co-authored the Property Management Inspection book with John. James has his own Real Estate company and is the Vice President of Marketing for P.M.I.S.
John Allen: Served in the United States Army as a Communication Platoon Sgt, serving 1 tour in Germany and 4 tours in Korea. Upon completion of his military career, he and his family moved to Dallas TX. John Authored /Co Authored several books (The Home Check series) dealing with property inspecting and is a licensed “all claims” insurance adjuster as well as a licensed professional home inspector. He is currently the President of the Texas Inspection Firm and the Vice President of P.M.I.S. (Property Management Inspection Services) and is also a landlord.

Rian Roberts - Mortgage Banker
This weeks guest will be Rian Roberts from Fairway Mortgage. Rian Roberts has seen all sides of the mortgage world. When he first started as a Loan Officer for a small brokerage in 1998, licenses weren’t even required. All that you needed to be a Mortgage Broker was a phone and a fax machine. After becoming the lead producer for the brokerage, Mr. Roberts ventured out on his own to start Trinity Home Loans at the beginning of 2001. Trinity started as a brokerage but quickly morphed into a fully functioning mortgage bank with its own designated processors, underwriters, and closers. During the last decade, Trinity helped obtain mortgage financing for over 2,000 families in Denton County alone. The staff at Trinity recently became a part of the Fairway Independent Mortgage network, maintaining their status as mortgage bankers. Moving into the next decade, Mr. Roberts will continue to provide the same level of knowledge and service as he has the past 12 years.
